I am often asked why I paint by family, friends, and acquaintances. It is certainly not for money, nor for glory or fame. It is most probably for the sheer enjoyment that paint, brush and canvas provides. Perhaps it is as Edward Hopper one said "If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint." But that begs the question of how can you express the beauty that is all around us in words? Here, I think Leonardo da Vinci said it best, "Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen." Either way, these are my offerings. I hope you enjoy them.
